Philosophy

At Integrated Stride Coaching, we’re redefining what it means to be an athlete. As a coach, I firmly believe that performance and personal excellence are not separate entities but are deeply intertwined and that being an athlete is not just about crossing the finish line—it's about the entire journey it took to get you there. Here, we don't merely chase finish lines—we’re chasing potential.

My coaching philosophy is simple. I believe that great coaches see the human before they see the athlete.

What does that mean?

It means you’re a human before you’re an athlete.

I believe that stress is stress is stress. Your body doesn’t know how many miles you’re running each week. It only knows how to adapt to the stress it’s under, regardless of where it’s coming from. By combining science-backed training principles with actionable feedback and mental performance coaching, I provide a comprehensive running experience for all runners. Unlike other coaches, my commitment to your success goes beyond the miles you log—to me, every stride is an opportunity for personal and performance excellence because I believe nurturing the individual is the key to unlocking your athletic performance.

What one-on-one coaching offers:

  • Training Peaks: Personal account and training log access.

  • Quality Check-Ins: I am with you every step of the way, providing feedback via Training Peaks, celebrating your achievements, and guiding you through challenges.

  • Community Slack Channel: According to Self-Determination Theory, the three basic psychological needs include autonomy, competence, and community. Stay connected with a team of like-minded athletes in a community slack channel no matter where you live.

  • Mental Skills Development: From discovering your core values to nailing your race day strategy, managing stress, and setting big goals, the mental aspect of training is just as important as the physical.

  • Weekly Office Hours/Community Calls: Every week, the community Zooms together. Bring your questions, stories, and all the good energy. On the first Friday of each month, a professional in their field (mental performance, strength training, nutrition, etc.) joins the community to field questions and provide deeper insight into what they do best.

  • EXCLUSIVE Strength Training Partnership with WhichWeight: Integrated Stride athletes receive an exclusive team discount on the breakthrough app, WhichWeight. This app integrates strength training into your running and racing calendars. It seamlessly adapts Olympian-trusted training methods developed by renowned strength coach, Chris Lee, from Kinesis Integrated: Sport Performance Training to fit your unique needs.

Individualization

Your running journey is unique. Your training should be, too. I craft individualized training programs that consider not only your physical abilities but also your mental strengths. Each training plan is shaped by the latest research, takes your life stress into account, and seamlessly integrates into your day-to-day.
